Mental health problems are sadly a common issue in the workplace, with around 1 in 4 people experiencing mental health problems at any given time. This not only seriously impacts the well-being of individuals and those who come into contact with them – but it can also significantly impact employees’ productivity, absenteeism and presenteeism (working more hours than necessary) in the workplace.
It is a good idea to provide training to willing and able individuals within your organisation to advocate for and promote mental health. The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace 603/5148/2, aims to help employers and employees to understand mental health problems and arm them with the skills with which to support those who are struggling. It is suitable for all learners who wish to raise awareness and help to create a culture of care and the promotion of positive mental health.
