The updated (March 2025) Care Certificate Standards sets out explicitly the learning objectives, competences and standards of care that will be expected in both sectors, ensuring that the HCSW/ASCW is caring, compassionate and provides quality care.

This programme will allow individuals to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the relevant standards, which can be used as evidence in completing the Care Certificate and the foundation of knowledge when progressing on to the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification.

Overview

Each Care Certificate eLearning course in Care Academy maps to the underpinning knowledge of the relevant updated (March 2025) Care Certificate standard.

Screening assessments allow individuals who can demonstrate prior knowledge to “fast track” their induction.

“Assessment of performance” is recorded using the observation toolkit and separate assessments.

For workers who do not need to complete the updated Care Certificate, each standard can be made available individually.
