Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007

In amongst the masses of junk mail I receive each week came the SSC October eBulletin.

This is still one of the few emails I make time to read, OK scan.  Points of note for me personally this week included ‘Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 Consultation on secondary legislation’ – expect Care-Academy content to be duly updated.

The other item of note was ‘Web based consultation to develop National Occupational Standards for sensory impairment’.  Partly due to a conversation I had with a client recently, but also because it is ‘web-based’.

Now, I am not going to mention inclusivity here, rather say it is further proof that the sector is going down the IT route.  The time will come when Care homes can no longer talk about not being e-Ready, it will be demanded.
