Adult support and protection (Scotland) act 2007

INDUCTION

The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 was passed by the Scottish Parliament in February 2007. The Act introduces measures in relation to adults who are at risk from the many forms that harm can take, whether this is physical or psychological harm, neglect, sexual abuse or financial exploitation.

Overview

Based upon the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) ‘Preparing for Practice’ guidance, this e-learning is designed to help you identify and support “adults at risk” as well as understand the appropriate balance between the rights of individuals to live their lives as they wish and reducing the risk of harm.
