Autism and Learning Disabilities training now a legal requirement

Published on July 1st, 2022

CQC will be looking for evidence of Autism and Learning Disabilities training, following the new legal requirement introduced by the Health and Care Act 2022.

If you’re a Health & Social Care (HSC) provider registered with Care Quality Commission (CQC), you’ll no doubt have heard that from Friday 1st July 2022, you must ensure that your staff receive training on autism and learning disabilities appropriate to their roles. Compliance with new legal requirements will be checked by CQC during their regular inspections. You can read the full announcement here.
