Reason #2: We’re working with NCG Online!

We operate nationally and our Funding Alliance is designed to help support all types of providers, both large and small across the country. As such, it’s important we work with partners who can help support (and grow) our national reach such as NCG Online.

NCG Online is the digital arm of NCG Group, a leading and successful national provider of further and higher education and apprenticeship training. The NCG Group comprises Carlisle College, Kidderminster College, Lewisham College, Newcastle College, Newcastle Sixth Form College and Southwark College. Obviously, the NCG Online footprint means that we are able to support a diverse range of employers and also facilitate cross-region support where there are no devolution issues.

We have been working collaboratively with the NCG team to refine our programme and to ensure that it is fully compliant with both Ofsted and ESFA funding requirements. In particular, we are jointly developing a bespoke package of initial assessment, IAG and support training for candidates who might not yet be ‘Qualification ready’. As is well documented by Skills for Care, around 50% of the care workforce has not achieved a level 2 qualification. The reasons behind this are many and varied, however, we are developing a pathway that will fully support your staff including English, maths, digital skills and workplace skills. We will be building our ‘Qualification ready’ programme using the Skills for Care ‘Core skills framework’ to ensure the content is fully contextualised. We want all of your team to have an enjoyable experience, be fully supported both academically and pastorally, and have access to career development opportunities that match their ambitions.

By partnering with us, employers can help their staff progress, and demonstrate you are a ‘Well-Led organisation with a positive culture of continuous learning’ (CQC).
