Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 2

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism (Tier 2) provides more detailed learning for staff who provide care or support for autistic people or people with a learning disability.
EdgeWorks delivers Part 2 of the Tier 2 programme in partnership with approved NHS providers, following the national Oliver McGowan delivery model.
Learners complete the national e-learning (Part 1) before attending a full-day face-to-face interactive training session (Part 2), co-delivered by approved facilitators and experts with lived experience.
Who should attend?
Tier 2 is intended for health and social care staff who:
- Provide care or support to autistic people or people with a learning disability.
- May be required to provide care or support as part of their role.
- Need a deeper understanding to deliver safe, person-centred care.
The requirement applies regardless of how frequently staff provide that support.
