Don't just take our word for it

Being able to access recognised qualifications which are valued by our teams and are free at the point of enrolment gives FitzRoy positive impacts in three key areas: firstly, it makes us a more attractive employer, secondly, it gives many of our staff access to their first national qualification boosting their knowledge and confidence and finally, the people we support benefit from more stable staff providing better person-centred care.

Since the pandemic there is a further need to adopt flexible approaches to career and skills management and the strong working partnership we have with EdgeWorks is continuing to develop new business models in relation to employer engagement and sustainable growth. The curriculum is designed and developed to fit with what employers need in the Health Care Sector, in particular around flexibility in terms of time and location. The success of this collaboration will improve skills shortages and address skills gaps where they exist in the health and social care sector.

Thank you so much for you time at our discovery meeting. It was a very informative and helpful experience, enabling us to have better clarity around the care certificate qualification and how EdgeWorks may be able to support us.

We are delighted to be working with Care Academy on a new development that should make a real difference to the way we deliver training. What has been invaluable is the experience that Care Academy has brought to the planning and development of this new venture and the confidence that we have that the finished product will be right for us.

The agency has recently introduced a computer based induction package which allows Carers to work at their own pace and also helps to highlight where there may be a gap in knowledge. The package is detailed and involved and upon completion the Carer should have gained both an understanding of at least the basic skills required, and the confidence and ability to carry them out.

We needed to find a more cost-effective way to stay on top of the new legislation and keep costs down. We could tell right away that the Care Academy team were a good fit for us
