The Five new Learning Disability Sets introduced by Skills for Care last week have been launched to ensure consistent training for frontline workers in the care industry.
These user-friendly guidelines specifically designed to boost training and knowledge cover five sections of training:
- History and content of learning disability services
- Communication
- Relationships
- Accessing and using information and
- Independence and well being
These Sets are designed to aid training development for employers and training providers. This will result in a minimum standardised outcome in producing learning programmes, recourses and awards.
