Online learning disability qualification (RQF) launched

EdgeWorks™ Care Academy is set to launch our latest learning disability qualification ‘Level 2 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities’– another online qualification exclusively available via Care Academy.

The qualification has been developed to support those who work with people with learning disabilities in a variety of contexts and is suitable for a wide range of learners. These could be workers new to learning disability services, experienced workers, working in learning disability services who wish to undertake a short CPD qualification, workers who may come into contact with learning disabilities services as part of their job in health, care, education and housing.

The qualification is fully accredited and we have funding available to deliver this in a number of regions. Upon successful completion, clients can also claim around £180.00 per qualification ‘cash-back’ from Skills for Care using the Workforce Development Fund.

A minimum total of 12 credits must be achieved to gain the qualification as follows:

  • Group M – 4 credits
  • Group O – 23 credits

All units are knowledge only and a minimum of 8 credits must be achieved from the optional units in addition to the 4 mandatory units.
