EdgeWorks™ provides access to a range of learning, assessment, qualification, and compliance solutions to the health, social care, and housing sectors via our dedicated learning platform Care Academy to help our clients develop a ‘Digital First’ strategy.
We are looking to increase our HSC assessor roster to help support learners achieve a variety of Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
All learning and assessments together with marking and feedback are completed online so assessors can be home-based with flexible working hours.
Full system training and support will be given to assessors.
Assessor duties include
- Assess and support learners working towards a variety of Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews are conducted.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt your support to meet learner’s needs.
Ideal candidate specification
Criteria
- Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
- Must hold solid occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Adults) e.g. Senior Carer / Senior Support Worker or above.
- Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or above.
- Level 3 (or above) teaching qualification is desirable.
- Experience of working with Dementia and Learning Disabilities within an Adult Care setting is desirable.
- Must have a good level of ICT skills.

- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
