HSC news: deadline for Workforce Development Fund (WDF) applications coming up

Published on January 17th, 2022

The 2021/22 Workforce Development Fund funding stream is closing soon, with final declaration forms to be submitted by 28th February 2022. The fund, which was released last year by the Department of Health, to be disbursed by Skills for Care, can be put toward a wide variety of courses and qualifications, learning programmes and digital learning modules completed between 1st January 2021 and 31st May 2022. It supports the development of staff at all levels of adult social care in England. This is just one example of where we can help you to tap into funding and navigate the application process. As a Health and Social Care (HSC) employer we can help you from application through to implementing and tracking the training – we’re with you every step of the way.

Act now to submit applications for 2021/22 funding!

To apply you will need to complete the following time-sensitive actions:

  • Fill in and submit a declaration form before 28th February 2022.
  • Ensure that your learner completes an eligible qualification or learning programme between 1st January 2021 and 31st March 2022.
  • Ensure your Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) account meets WDF requirements by 31st March 2022.
  • Submit your claim to Skills for Care by 31st May 2022.
