Relying on Excel can seriously damage your training and compliance

Spreadsheets aren’t designed to store historical data, so often, in an attempt to keep the size of them manageable, they are “updated” and companies lose their historical data.

The UK government recently lost almost 16,000 positive coronavirus test results primarily because they were relying on the use of Microsoft’s Excel XLS format to underpin their data processing. This would almost be laughable if wasn’t so serious.

Everybody knows that Excel is not designed to support business-critical data right?

Yet sadly we continue to see many organisations operating across health, housing, and social care doing just that.
