Ensuring your website is legal and reflect best practice guidelines

Edgeworks unique Web Compliance Warranty helps clients meet the increasing regulatory requirements of the Internet. Our Web Compliance Warranty protects client web sites from the cost of any penalties or fines and guarantees web sites are always legal and reflect best practice guidelines.

To benefit from the security of the Web Compliance Warranty, web sites firstly undergo a Compliance Review, which includes a full legal audit conducted by a specialist compliance solicitor and a Technical Review of the coding conventions against W3C Level ‘AA’ standards. Upon completion, a detailed report is produced documenting non-compliance issues and recommendations for achieving compliance. Where appropriate, standard wording for data protection, privacy and cookie policies will be provided for use directly on the web site.

The legal audit is repeated on a biannual basis whilst a technical report is produced monthly.

The Web Compliance Warranty covers

Key legislation:

  • The Disability Discrimination Act.
  • The Data Protection Act.
  • The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations.
  • The Electronic Commerce Regulations.
  • The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

In the highly unlikely event a claim for non-compliance is made Edgeworks Web Compliance Warranty will provide:
